How to Use the Selection Box in Autodesk Revit
The Selection box feature allows you to do quick 3D previews of elements in Autodesk Revit projects.
The Selection Box is purposely used when you want to get a quick 3D view of some elements you have selected in your model.
In this illustration, Connor uses kitchen furniture to guide you through the steps.
To select the elements, remember to click from the top-left to the bottom to select everything inside your box.
Once your elements are selected, the ribbon icon will automatically change.
Under the Modify/Multi-select tab, you will find your View panel and Selection Box.
This will instantly give you a quick 3D view of all the elements you have selected.
To save your view, go to your Project Browser on your left and rename your current view.
To view more or less of your selected 3D view, simply use the ‘little grips’ to adjust the space.
To reset your view, go to the Properties Menu and under the Extents tab.
There should be a check box by the Selection box option which turns your Selection Box on and off.
