How to Rotate Elements Quickly in Autodesk Revit 2020

Learn how to use your space bar to rotate components in any model when working in Revit.

To demonstrate how to rotate elements with the space bar in Revit, we're going to place a couple of chairs in a hallway, by a straight wall and an angled wall.

Select the component you want to use from the Components tab.

Hover it on the drawing space where you want to place it and press space bar for it to rotate.

This works on angled walls too. Take your component, hover over the angled wall, press your space bar to rotate until you have the perfect position, and it will lock to the angle of the wall.

Thanks Redcage! We love working with you.

“We ran into an issue where our file went corrupt. We contacted Redcage right away and they were able to recover our file with the help of Autodesk and get it back to us the very next day, which kept us on our deadline. We really appreciated that they were able to do that. Thanks Redcage! We love working with you.”

flexible in working within our availability

Redcage has always been flexible in terms of setting dates and being able to come to our facility and do the training in-house. They were also flexible in working within our availability to schedule sessions and always able to assist us in seeking available government grants to support us in getting the necessary training.
